Why is my old chihuahua shaking, unstable, and crying at night?

I have a chihuahua, he’s pretty old and has white hairs near his nose. Today he got a problem, his head is cold more than usual, his walking is not stable like he used to, sometimes he’s just walking regularly and he’s tremble down, cant stand back up, shaking, i have to hug him and pet him to calm him down, his left leg just keep curling up like he got and injury, and at the midnight, he scream and bark like calling for help, i am very worried about him, can i have some explanation please. Poor Mundy. He could be sick or he could be in pain. He sounds pretty bad off, and without seeing him in person, I can't say what is going on. I think he needs to see a vet immediately, please take him into one now. Best of luck.
