Why is my dog breathing fast, fast heart, and yellow poop after playing?

My dog is breathing fast and her heartbeat is fast also, it just started tonight after her and my other dog was playing. And she also pooped a yellowish oats like poop. Is this normal?

It could be Sophie is unwell and may have diarrhea. The fast breathing and heart rate can be due from her playing with your other dog. I can give you a home remedy for the diarrhea to see if that helps. Feed her a bland diet of boiled white meat chicken (no bones) and white rice in small amounts several times a day for a couple of days. Then slowly add back in her normal diet. If the diarrhea continues on the bland diet, she refuses to eat the bland diet, she starts vomiting food, stops drinking water, starts vomiting water, or becomes very lethargic, she will need to see a vet right away. I would suspect both the heavy running and bone may have upset his stomach. Heavy breathing can be a sign of pain coming from his stomach and intestines, or he may have a lung issue if the breathing is labored and making it hard for him to get in enough oxygen (Blue tongue, gasping for air, congested airway, etc). If he seems to be getting enough oxygen then he is likely just painful and this is likely the cause of his panting. You can try feeding him a bland diet of boiled plain chicken and rice or cottage cheese for a few days, along with Culturelle (probiotic) over the counter to see if this improves his loose stool and discomfort. Also 1-2 tsp of canned pumpkin can help solidify the stools as well. If he does not improve or at any point seems to get worse within the next 24-48 hrs then it’s best to take him to your vet for further care. Usually a short course of antibiotics along with the probiotics and bland diet are all that’s needed for uncomplicated cases of stomach upset

Withhold food for 12-24 hours, then feed a bland diet of boiled white meat chicken (no bones) and white rice in small amounts several times a day for a couple of days. Then slowly add back in her normal diet. If the vomiting continues in the absence of food, she refuses to eat the bland diet, she vomits the bland diet, develops diarrhea, stops drinking water, starts vomiting water, or becomes very lethargic, she will need to see a vet right away. Diarrhea and throwing up can have many causes. It is basically a problem with the stomach and intestines caused by a food over sensitivity, eating something that does not agree with the dog, intestinal parasites, bacterial infection, viral infection, the weather, food change, stress, etc.  I would fast Sasha for 24 hours and then put her on bland food for two days, such as boiled white rice and boiled white boneless chicken meat, fed in small quantities over several feeds and then transition back to her regular food slowly over a few days. If this does not clear up the diarrhea or if the vomiting increases, or if she gets lethargic, she needs to see a veterinarian for an exam as there may be something more serious such as an infection going on.

Poor Cindy! It would be the stress of being on the road with you causing the diarrhea, or if you are giving her human treats on the trip, that could be causing the diarrhea as well I am concerned about her fast and irregular breathing, and that could be a sign of pain or a respiratory infection. If that continues for another 24 hours, I would find a vet to see her. It could also be a sign of stress from being in the truck, but in my opinion, it would be best for her to have that checked out by a vet if it continues to be safe. As for the diarrhea, go to the grocery store and get some plain deli chicken (no flavors) and microwaveable white rice. Withhold food for 12-24 hours, then feed her this bland diet of the chicken and rice in small amounts several times a day for a couple of days, Slowly add back in her normal diet after this if the diarrhea has cleared up. If the bland diet doesn't help the diarrhea, then she needs to see the vet. Be sure not to give her any human food i

Hello. Shiro may just be having some digestive upsets that are still messing with him. Are his gums nice & pink? If so, & there is no vomiting, then you can probably let him rest this evening. Starting tomorrow, if he feels like eating, start him on a bland diet of 25% white chicken breast & 75% plain white rice or low fat cottage cheese. Small amounts fairly often should be offered throughout the day tomorrow. If he is feeling better & his stool seems to be subsiding, you can slowly transition back to his regular food Sunday or Monday. But if he continues to act distressed by refusing to eat, continued diarrhea, retching or vomiting, you will need to see your vet as soon as convenient. Lola may just be worn out and over-tired from playing so hard with the other dog. One thing I would be concerned about is if she may have become over heated while playing. If you are able to take her temperature rectally it would be very helpful. Normal temp for a dog is 101.5. Anything over 103.5 would be concerning enough to take Lola to the vet. You can also monitoring her respiratory rate. Count the number of breaths she takes in 1 minute, anything over 60 would be concerning (unless she is panting). If her temperature and respiratory rate are normal then I would recommend monitoring her for the next 12-24 hours. If she is still acting abnormal after this time then I would suggest take her to the vet.

This sounds like diarrhea. In dogs, diarrhea can be caused by a GI illness, eating something rotten, or a change in diet to name a few things. It appears that my dog pooped some bile like foam is this normal and what does this mean?
She may have an upset stomach from something that she ate. If she is acting fine otherwise, you could withhold food for the day and then try a small amount of a bland diet, like boiled chicken and white rice, this afternoon. If she has any vomiting and/or diarrhea then she should be examined by a vet to determine the cause and treat. She may need an anti-nausea medication, gastrointestinal protectant, antacid, anti-diarrhea, and/or other medications.
