Pet's info: Dog | Chihuahua | Male | neutered | 2 years and 9 months old | 20 lbs
My dog was yelping, a couple of days ago, we went and they ended up giving medicine, which was carprofen. I was just wondering why I keep giving him the medication and he is still yelping? Is that normal? Or is it because he barely is recovering? I called the vet and they told me because it was barely his second day on the meds that he would still be yelping. Should I see if he yelps tomorrow and if he does take him to the vet? Or what? I dont know what to do.

I suspect Bon Bon is still in a bit of pain. You did the right thing by calling his vet for advice. Yes, it could be true because he hasn't had two full days of pain relief that he still may be a bit painful. This can be normal. Give it a few more days on the medication to see if that helps him. Best of luck.
