My dog fell and can't walk on his hind legs. What should I do now?

If Snoopy isn't able to walk, that's a medical emergency. It sounds like he is in a lot of pain. Unfortunately there are no OTC pain medications you can give him, as many human ones are toxic and can be fatal if given. I would take him into a vet now to get this treated.

My dog suddenly can't walk on her hind legs. She is dragging them behind her but we can't afford to take her to the vet. Is she in pain?
Oh dear! This is a very serious problem - I'm afraid she really has to see a vet right away. She may have a herniated disc in her back causing the paralysis, or some other neurologic problem affecting her spinal cord. She may be in pain, or she may have no feeling at all in her rear legs - it's impossible to say without an exam. She needs immediate treatment to have a reasonable chance of regaining function in her rear legs, I'm afraid there's nothing you can do at home that will help her. If costs are a concern, you can see if there is a low-cost SPCA clinic in your area that could help. You could also apply online for Care Credit, which is a payment plan accepted by most vet clinics: www.carecredit.com

My dog fell from my bed and after 3 days he started walking but this Friday his brother (dog) sat on his sprained leg and now he isn't moving and his appetite has also decreased. Is it normal? Thanks!
No, this isn't normal at all. It could be that Sonam leg was broken and that's why he won't move. It could also be that he is in severe pain. He need veterinary attention now for this. Please do not give him any human pain medications, as many are toxic to dogs and can be fatal if given. The vet can prescribe him pain medications if needed, and any other treatment for his symptoms. Please bring him into a vet ASAP.

He Won’t Put Any Pressure On This Leg. He Has No Existing Medical Issues. He Is 11 Years Old In Human Years
The fact that JR won't put any pressure on his leg tells me he is in a lot of pain. Unfortunately there are no OTC pain medications you can give him, as many are toxic to dogs and can be fatal if given. I'd take him into a vet today to get this diagnosed and treated.

My mothers two huskies got into a fight and one of the dogs leg is bleeding a little not a lot and she won't walk on it or come out from under the bed what can I give her for pain relief until taking her to the vet in the morning

She sounds very painful, and it would be best if she saw a vet tonight. You can take her into an ER vet clinic; if you don't have one in your area, there will be a vet on call for emergencies. The information to reach that vet is found on a clinic's answering machine or website. If you absolutely cannot get her into a vet tonight, keep her as quiet as possible and take her into the vet first thing in the morning. Good luck, I hope this helps!

My dog is about 12 years old and while going to the door to go out side she got a little excited and slipped, since then she has been limping on one of her back legs. There doesn’t appear to be swelling and I don’t think it’s broken.
Thank you for submitting your question regarding Suzie. I am sorry to hear about her fall. If she is still acting normal otherwise, I would keep her very quiet to allow her body to rest. Carry her if possible (which may not be an option given the size included in her profile) or you can roll up a towel to use as a sling under her belly to help support her when she needs to walk. By limiting her movements, you can limit any further swelling that may accompany her injury. Do not give her any over-the-counter pain medication as these can be toxic to dogs. If she is not significantly better by tomorrow morning, she will need to see her veterinarian. I hope this information helps!

My pit is not able to put pressure on his back leg. He was fine this morning when he was walked. His leg looks a little swollen. I usually go to petco for my dog needs and want to know if I can buy something for the pain until saturday ?
Poor Billy! Unfortunately there are no safe OTC pain medications you can give him. Many human ones are toxic, and can be fatal. Even things like supposed "dog aspirin" isn't safe because it can cause GI ulcers and bleeding. The only safe pain medications for him are available from the vet. I would rest him until you can get him into the vet. No running, jumping, or playing. Take him out to toilet on a lead only, and bring him right back in when he's done. You can also try putting a cold compress on his leg to see if that helps. Best of luck.

My dog suddenly can't walk
Not being able to walk all of a sudden is an emergency and you need to take Paris to your vet now. If this is caused by a prolapsed disc, then time is of the essence, ie treatment with NSAIDs, pain medication and strict cage rest as early as possible increases the chance of recuperation. There can be other reasons for not being able to walk, and only a hands-on exam will facilitate a diagnosis. Your vet will want to do radiographs, possibly blood tests and do a thorough orthopedic and neurological exam.

My dog got hurt while she was playing with us,she is not able to keep her left leg at all. Since childhood her leg was already twisted from her joint.
