Poor Peyton. I'm concerned she doesn't have a cyst by her nipple, I'm concerned it's a mammary tumor. Those can be common in unspayed dogs, and 50% of them are malignant. If she did have a malignant tumor, it could explain why she isn't eating or drinking. She sounds quite sick, you need to take her into a vet immediately. Best of luck.

It does sound like Pepper is sick. This large lump on her side could be an abscess, cyst, benign tumor, or a malignant tumor. An abscess or malignant tumor would cause her to not want to eat or drink. It is serious that she doesn't want to drink, and I would take her into a vet now. If you wait until morning, she could become seriously dehydrated, and it's best to prevent that. The vet can examine the lump and can perform a test called a fine needle aspirate on it to diagnose it. To do this, the vet sticks a small needle into the lump to get a sample of it's cells, and examines the cells on a slide under a microscope. It's usually painless to the animal, and relatively quick to perform. The vet will also likely do routine blood tests and a urinalysis to diagnose why she is feeling so poorly, and how best to treat her.

I would recommend that you have Shanova Maye checked out by a vet. Dogs can get mammary (or breast) cancer and it can look lumpy or cystic. Some types of cancer are metastatic and can make the dog very ill. There are lots of other causes for her poor appetite, including stress, dietary intolerance or indiscretion, intestinal parasites, GI blockage, gastroenteritis, bacterial or viral infection, IBD, pancreatitis, among others. Your vet will do a thorough physical exam and may recommend diagnostics such as bloodwork and x-rays so they can get a complete picture of would could be ailing Shanova.

As she is unspayed, high chances it is mammary gland cancer, with all the surrounding symptoms there is unfortunately a good chance that the cancer has already spread. You should take her to the vet ASAP in order to have a blood test done as well as an xray to confirm this suspicion.

Although a picture of it would help to give you a more specific answer, this lump/bump/growth should be ideally examined by your local vet to have a diagnosis established. Your vet may want to perform an FNA (fine needle aspiration) or a biopsy to sample the bump and determine its underlying nature. Differentials would include skin cysts, infections, benign or more malignant type of tumors. As for the bump, my biggest concern would be an enlarged lymph node and mammary cancer. The black stool, lethargy, and thirst are suggestive of bleeding in the intestines. Since she is not spayed, a pyometra would also be a possibility. You need to get her to a veterinarian as soon as possible for bloodwork and abdominal x-rays or ultrasound.

Poor Conny! She could have an infection but she could also have a mammary mass that is causing the problem. She needs to be examined by your vet to determine the exact cause. She will need an oral antibiotic if she has an infection. If there is a mass than your vet will need to get a biopsy to determine the exact cause. Please call your vet and have her seen as soon as possible, especially since she is not eating. Hope she feels better soon!

HI, thanks for using Boop by Petco! If the liquid coming from her nipple is brownish and there is a mass in the breast tissue it is likely a cystic mammary tumor. A lot of which are benign. Some breast masses in dogs are cancerous though. Usually it is recommend to spay them and remove the breast mass. Hormones play a role in the formation of the tumors. I'd get the mass checked out by your Vet and discuss removing it to biopsy. Good luck!

Since she is not spayed and has gone through heat cycles, she is at a higher risk of mammary cancer. These usually are nodules you can feel along the mammary chain. I would have your vet take a look at the black spot on her nipple. You can always upload up to 3 pictures when submitting a question also. Just from finding a black spot on her nipple or even if you feel a nodule or two along her mammary chain at this point if she is doing well I would not recommend putting her down. I see that Jessabell isn't spayed. Unfortunately in unspayed females, mammary tumors are common and that is what could be causing her nipple to look weird. To do this, the vet sticks a small needle into the lump to get a sample of it's cells, and examines the cells on a slide under a microscope. It's usually painless to the animal, and relatively quick to perform. Should she have a mammary tumor and it's malignant, it will need to be removed surgically and local lymph nodes should be checked to see if it has been spread. I would have Jessabell seen by a vet tomorrow to have her nipple looked at so it can be treated as needed.

Breast cancer is definitely a concern. It could be either benign or malignant, so Miny really needs to see a vet. They can collect a sample with a needle for evaluation under the microscope to determine if it is a big scary thing or a smaller worrisome thing.
