Is my cat's hair thinning behind her ear with brown spots normal?

Noticed some hair thinning behind my cat Holly's ear, mostly on one side, and some brown spots. I don't think they've always been there, but I'm also not entirely sure. She's not scratching or anything, but I'm concerned. Is it yeast? Anything to worry about? Pet's info: Cat | Domestic Mediumhair | Female | spayed | 6 years old | 12 lbs

Cats almost always have thin hair there. You may monitor the area right now. If it continues to thin, have Holly checked for thyroid conditions and ringworm. The changes would be the biggest indication of a disease process. I hope this helps.
