My dog is vomiting bile and won't eat or drink. What should I do?

Updated On September 23rd, 2025

Pet's info: Dog | Chow Chow | Female | unspayed | 2 months and 18 days old | 10 lbs

Hi my dog (Chow Chow) has been vomiting bile lately. It's the 5th time this morning since 1 am until this time 7am. It started of as food regurgitation which she quickly ate right back up until the point it became vomiting until her stomach was empty. The following day she ate some boiled chicken and didn't vomit it out but later that night she had chicken again for dinner and vomited it out. At this point she no longer wants to eat and is barely drinking water. What should I do? Please help!

Given that Reign is vomiting the chicken and barely drinking water, it's time to see a vet. You've tried a home remedy and she can't keep it down. She needs a shot to stop the vomiting, IV fluids for hydration, and any other treatment the vet deems necessary. Please take her into a vet immediately.
