Why does my old dog shake, vomit, and sleep all day after dark?

My dog, 8 yrs old, shakes violently pulls away from me, but stops when lights go off. He only does 8n the evening and it's been recent, he will also vomit throughout the night. And sleep all the next day. What could be wrong with him? Pet's info: Dog | Mixed Breed Medium (23 - 60lb) | Male | neutered | 8 years and 6 months old | 20 lbs

Poor Bear. He sounds sick, and his symptoms could be caused by a systemic illness, infection, or injury. I'm concerned this is going on, and I think it's best you take him into a vet today.
