My dog fell, now weak and can't keep food down. Is it serious?

Pet's info: Dog | Border Collie | Female | spayed | 30 lbs

My dog went to jump up on a ledge and misjudged the distance and ended up falling. This happened 2 days ago. Her leg seems to be better but she is extremely weak and unable to hold anything down. I’m not sure what to do

Pudder sounds like she may have suffered severe internal injuries from this fall, and I would consider her symptoms a medical emergency. She needs to see a vet now. Please take her into an ER vet clinic; if there isn't one in your area, there will be a vet on call for emergencies. My Dog Won't Get Up or Eat, Should I Worry?
I am very concerned about your dog's condition and highly recommend a veterinary visit. There are a few general categories that fit with what your dog is showing at home. One would be weakness due to a nerve problem in the back end. This can happen if a disc has moved out of place in the spine and is pressing on the spinal cord. This can cause dogs to have trouble walking and placing their feet in an appropriate way. Some have the appearance of walking on their toes. Otherwise they are able to place weight on the back legs but stagger or sway when walking. This can be an emergency situation if the disc slips more into the spinal cord and causes paralysis. Another type of weakness that causes trouble getting up is if there is a lack of proper blood circulation. The lower level of blood in the body causes them to be lethargic due to the decreased oxygen circulating throughout the body. This sounds like a medical emergency and you should have Puddin seen right away. The potential cause for her signs are a slipped disc in her back causing pinching of her nerves going to her back legs (Intervertebral disc disease), trauma, spinal infection, a spinal tumor or a toxin. The veterinarian will want to perform a through exam and localize the pain. They will also check Puddin's neurologic function which will help to determine if her signs are due to a spinal problem. If her signs worsen and she can no longer walk on her back legs, she may need an MRI or surgery. Please have her seen, good luck.

I always advise that if an abnormal sign or behavior persists, worsens or other signs develop to always have your pet evaluated by your veterinarian right away. The fall may have caused some soft tissue/bone injuries or even internal injuries that are causing her problems. Also, she could be suffering from something unrelated to the fall. Your vet can examine her after gathering a history and then advise you on diagnostics/treatment. Possible tests include fecal/blood/urine tests and x-rays. Good luck

My puppy fell off the bed and now she cant put any weight on her front right paw when she does she falls n starts to cry. Is her paw broken or just bruised?
IT is quite likely if it is causing her to fall over it may be broken or dislocated. Please arrange an emergency appointment for her and prevent her from walking/falling until you can have her fully assessed to prevent further injury. Keep her fasting from food as a mild sedation may be required for xrays

All of those combined sound like a very serious issue that should be seen by a veterinarian in person immediately. Toxicity, neurologic issues, illness, vestibular issues, muscular problems, etc can all be potential causes, so it is best to seek help from a veterinarian in person or a local ER clinic ASAP.

It sounds like he is suffering from a very serious leg injury, you need to take him to the vet as soon as possible today to get it checked and treated, an xray may very well be needed if a fracture is suspected.

My dog is being sick and is unable to keep anything down including water. What shall i do?
Poor Daisy sounds very ill at the moment, I would take her into the vet immediately. I see that she isn't spayed, and she could be suffering from a pyometra which is an infection of the uterus. A pyometra is fatal without treatment. She could also have a severe GI illness, pancreatitis, a foreign body, or may have eaten something rotten or toxic. Because I can't see her in person, I can't rule out a pyometra and those are medical emergency. The best thing to do is take her into a vet now. The vet can diagnose what is causing her symptoms and can treat her as needed. Please take her into an ER vet clinic; if there isn't one in your area, there will be a vet on call for emergencies. I am so sorry to hear that your pet Lupa is in such dire need of medical care it seems. She is very ill and the fact that she isn't moving is very concerning. There isn't anything you can do unfortunately in the home to help her, she needs to be seen by a vet in your area right away. She could have just about anything going on internally to cause this including: severe anemia, heart disease, or even shock just to name a few.
