Updated On September 23rd, 2025

Pet's info: Dog | Cocker Spaniel | Female | unspayed | 10 months and 25 days old

our dog as just got back from a walk and wont open his eyes properly. we can't see any injury or redness. no swelling and he appears ok in himself at the minute. he is not scratching them and they don't seem to be bugging him but he wont open them much. he's just resting in his basket. he went for a walk along the canal but my partner says he didn't see him eat anything or anything else obvious apart from pick up a piece of grumble that may habe had throrns on it.

It looks like Denzel's third eyelids are sticking out. For some reason, her eyes are irritated but I can't diagnose why without seeing her in person. Any eye problem should be checked out by a vet promptly as leaving it untreated can lead to vision loss. Please take her into a vet now.
