Pet's info: Cat | Mixed Breed | Male | neutered | 9 months and 13 days old
Hello, my male cat releases a very unpleasant smell sometimes that is neither similar to his urine nor poop smell. Last time we noticed it releasing it after my husband was playing roughly with him. What is it? How to fix it and avoid it?

Hello. It may be that Chauro has impacted or infected anal glands, two small ducts on either side of the rectum. Your veterinarian can easily check to see if Chauro is having a problem with this. Sometimes, just clening them out will solve the problem, sometimes they need medication. If it becomes a frequent & recurring problem, the glands can be surgically removed. Your veterinarian can easily sort this out for you. Thanks for contacting Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach.
