What does white jelly in dog diarrhea mean if my dog is acting normal?

Updated On September 23rd, 2025

Pet's info: Dog | Lhasa Apso | Female | unspayed | 2 years old | 9.9 lbs

Hi, so my dog on Thursday lost appetite (she was not interested about her wet food but would happy to eat treats but she dosen't get any). I woke up this morning to found she had diarrhea durning night.I'm soo woried about second photo. It's no poo just something like water with white "jelly". I called to vet but because of cornovirus he is open only to emergency. Dog is acting normally happy to play, not show any pain, drinking water also she ate her wet food on morning.

It looks like mucous, which is normal in the colon. I would watch Zoe for a day or two. As long as she is eating and drinking and acting otherwise normal, then I would wait at home. If she becomes lethargic or stops eating and drinking, she needs to go to the vet as an urgent medical case.
