Why is my dog's poop shiny, red, and chunky after a diet change?

Pet's info: Dog | Spitz | Male | unneutered | 10 years and 8 months old | 15 lbs

Nick's poop is weird. Has a weird shiny mucousy skin like coating on top. The inside is partially red and a little chunky. Otherwise he is eating and drinking as usual. There has been a slight change in his diet as everything is closed here. Not possible to take him to the vet as they are also closed because of the lockdown (I don't stay in the USA). Please help!

This could be due to the change in diet. I can give you a home remedy for Nick to see if that helps. Withhold food for 12-24 hours, then feed a bland diet of boiled white meat chicken (no bones) and white rice in small amounts several times a day for a couple of days. Then slowly add back in his normal diet.

This presentation is likely to be due to an early stage colitis, which is commonly related to diet. Causes of diarrhea are: intestinal parasites, viral or bacterial infections, intestinal disease (food allergies or inflammatory bowel disease), pancreatitis, food intolerance'new treats/sudden food change and eating something gross outside. It is very possible the new food you gave him in the morning is causing the diarrhea. The bright red in the stool is likely blood which indicates inflammation in the colon. I agree withholding food for 12-24 hours is a good idea. I would start feeding with a bland diet of boiled chicken or hamburger with rice. Feed 1 cup per 20 lbs per day until 1-2 normal stools then put him back on his OLD dog food. If you want to try the new food again wait until his stools have been normal for 2 weeks then SLOWLY transition him to the new food over several weeks. If diarrhea starts again then he can not tolerate the new food. If the diarrhea persists I recommend taking him to your Vet for an exam and medications.

No, missing his dose won't cause it. I can give you a home remedy for Howler to see if that helps. My dog’s poop is white,hard and chalky. What should i do ? Should i change her diet ?
That could be compatible with a disease of the liver, responsible for he pigments inside the feces. I would recommend to change diet for the next week, feeding with a bland diet based on chicken and rice. If signs persist a check up and blood tests at your local vets are required.

My dogs stool is a light brown to medium brown, is he okay? It used to be darker and I haven't changed foods, but I do give him more carrots. He also seems to take multiple trips outside to poo, eventually he does go. Could I give him pumpkin to help

My dog was eating canned food but he had one left. in the meantime I gave him dry food. The next day I gave him canned food from a different brand and now he has diarrhea. What should I do? Thank you
A sudden change in diet including switching brands can be enough to cause diarrhea in a dog. I can give you a home remedy to try for Chiquitin, and I would switch back to his normal brand of dog food. Withhold food for 12-24 hours, then feed a bland diet of boiled white meat chicken (no bones) and white rice in small amounts several times a day for a couple of days. Then slowly add back in his normal diet. If the diarrhea continues on the bland diet, he starts vomiting food, stops drinking water, starts vomiting water, or becomes very lethargic, he will need to see a vet right away. Is this blood feels kinda waxy or could this be something she has eaten? Second day of it
It is hard to know for sure based on a picture but it doesn’t look like blood to me and is probably something that she ate. You could feed her a bland diet of boiled chicken and white rice for the next few days and monitor her closely. Have her examined by your vet if it continues or you notice any lethargy or decreased appetite.
