My senior dog with heart disease won't eat after meds. What can I do?

Hi my 11 year old 3.3kg chihuahuas diagnosed with Mitral Valve Disease after they found a murmur. He's taking 1.25mg Vetmedin twice daily & a water pill. Since his diagnosis and meds he's gone downhill, he won't eat and has lost alot of weight (he was slim & healthy before this, now he's so bony). I've tried everything, chicken, rice, broth, baby food. He'll have a few locks or bites then moves away from the food. I'm so worried he's going to starve himself. Is there anything else I can try/do?

Poor Dexter. Unfortunately this can be part of the disease. I would take him into the vet to see if you can get an appetite stimulant prescribed to see if that helps. If it does not, then it would likely be time to consider letting him go. I'm sorry.
