My dog was bitten under the jaw. Does she need a vet or penicillin?

Pet's info: Dog | Mixed Breed | Female | unspayed | 16 years and 3 months old | 16 lbs

I lost the page I was on my little dog candy had been bit like last night right under her jaw by a large dog I don't believe a large dog hasn't got shots he's well taken care of but I'm concerned about the wound is there a gland or something under her jaw that I should be taking her in to see if that she doesn't seem to be in a lot of pain it's not bleeding however it did bleed a little tiny bit at the time that she had her scuffle I have three leftover penicillins and I read that it's okay to

Thank you for contacting Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach with your question about Candy. Yes, you should take her in and not give her any penicillin you have in the home. Dogs have a lot of bacteria in their mouth, and she could have developed an abscess from this bite. She will be in pain, and she needs pain medication and correct antibiotics to treat this. Please take her into a vet immediately. I hope this helps!
