My cat is itching, balding, and has a black spot. What's wrong?

hi. my cat has this black thing under his skin. i think it's a fungus so i put coconut oil on it. he's itching and it's balding. do you have any idea what it is and what can i do to heal it?

Thank you for submitting your question regarding Jerry. He needs to see a veterinarian. He appears to have a serious skin infection. Ringworm is a fungal infection, but it typically presents as scabs and hair loss. If this is the case, an antifungal medication is needed. Coconut oil can moisturize the skin, but will not cure an infection. He may more likely will need antibiotics. I hope this information helps!
