Dog has puncture wound above eye. Cat scratch or infection? What to do?

My dog has a puncture hole right above his eye. Not sure if it is a cat scratch or an infection. What do you think it is?

Thank you for submitting your question regarding Timothy. Your attached picture is very blurry so I am not able to see the wound clearly. Regardless, puncture wounds can be quite serious. Typically the small opening in the skin will heal over quickly. This can trap an infection underneath leading to an abscess formation. In this case, surgery becomes necessary. I recommend that he sees his veterinarian to start proper wound care. He may require oral antibiotics. I hope this information helps!
