My dog can't open his eye. Is it an injury or a serious infection?

Rocky could have injured his eye or has a severe eye infection. Any eye problem needs to be checked out by a vet promptly as leaving it untreated can lead to vision loss. I'd take him into a vet today.

It can be very difficult to evaluate an eye based on a photo but it appears that there is a puncture or ulceration of the cornea in the corner of Rocky's eye. I would recommend taking him in to the vet as soon as possible. The vet will examine the eye, may want to put a special stain on the eye to check the rest of the cornea, may want to test the eye pressure, and can prescribe antibiotics and pain medication if needed. I would not delay taking him in because the eye can worsen quite quickly.

This sounds like a severe eye condition, it could be due to an infection or due to a chronic eye disease such as glaucoma, cataract or uveitis. it's urgent to get it treated so please take Rocky to the vet ASAP.

My Dog Won't Keep His Left Eye Open, Should I Worry?
Poor pup! If he's keeping the eye closed or if the [eye is red](https://www.petcoach.co/article/why-are-my-dogs-eyes-red) and there's discharge coming from it, it's likely that he either has an [eye infection](https://www.petcoach.co/dog/condition/conjunctivitis/) or an injury of some kind to the eye, such as a corneal scratch or ulcer. I would recommend having him examined by a vet or [veterinary ophthalmologist](https://www.acvo.org/) as soon as you can, since he will may prescription eye drops to treat the problem. Eyes are delicate, so the sooner he gets an exam and proper medication, the better - some problems can cause permanent damage or vision loss if they aren't treated promptly.

My dog eye got scratch and I need to know how to take care of it?? I can't afford a vet visit right now. It's a little swollen and I can't get good picture because he won't open his eye.
Unfortunately you cannot treat it in an efficient way without seeing a vet, the eye needs to be checked, if there is a scratch on the cornea Rocky will need two types of drops (corneal repair drop and antibiotic drop) in order for the eye to heal, those drops are prescription only. if left untreated he could lose the eye.

Look like she can’t open her eye
If she will allow, look for any redness or discharge. Ideally, she should be physically examined by your veterinarian to diagnose infection or corneal injury. Place an e-collar (cone) on her to prevent pawing or rubbing until she sees the vet.

My little puppy Romeo keeps closing his right eye. When we play, when we go for walks etc, he's always trying to close/squeeze his eye and it looks a little bit (not much) wet. Should I worry or take him to my local vet?
Yes, I would take Romeo into a vet today if possible. It could be he has an eye infection, or may have injured his eye. Any problem with the eye needs to be checked out promptly, as leaving it untreated can lead to vision loss. I hope this helps!

My dogs eye seems irritated, the left eye is closed minimal tears but he will keep trying to rub it. I opened the eye a little bit but he blinks a couple times subtly and then closes again. Not sure what to do
It is probably an eye infection, you will need to take Rocko to the vet ASAP in order to have the eyes checked, he will then be prescribed antibiotic eye drops which should solve the problem within a few days.

My dog has red, droopy eyes. Which he usually does not have. and One of his eyes is completely shut and only when I put a warm rag on it, he can open it a little. Is it possible to have Pink Eye?
Dogs can certainly get infection of their conjunctiva which is pinkeye. However this could indicate an upper respiratory tract infection or something wrong with the eye it's self which is more concerning. It would be best to have Rocko examined by a veterinarian as soon as possible to make sure that eye is OK. If it is a short course of a topical ointment maybe all that is needed. However if the eye is involved or there's an infection he will likely need antibiotics. You should stop him from pawing or rubbing at the eye as well as keeping the discharge cleared with a warm washcloth until he can see a veterinarian.
