My dog is sick, throwing up, not eating, and weak. What should I do?

Pet's info: Dog | Pomeranian | Male | unneutered | 12 years old | 5 lbs

my dog has been very sick this past wee. It started first with him only having a cough and heavily breathing. The next day he was no longer with the cough or heavy breathing, but two days later he stopped eating and threw up what he ate and has only been drinking water. He has now started to wobble when he walks and has spent the past few days in bed.

Cookie sounds very sick, and it's serious that he's not eating, is weak (likely the cause of this wobbling), and lethargic. You cannot treat this at home, you need to take him into a vet immediately.

Popeye sounds very sick. At this point in time, I would not recommend a home remedy. It's quite serious he's lost a lot of weight, has not eaten properly for weeks, and is throwing up. My dog started throwing up and won't eat. He also won't move and is just laying there. What's wrong?
If your dog is [vomiting](https://www.petcoach.co/dog/condition/vomiting-1/), not eating and extremely lethargic, these are very concerning signs. I would be worried that he may have a serious problem such as an [intestinal obstruction](https://www.petcoach.co/article/7-things-you-should-know-about-foreign-bodies-in-dogs), [pancreatitis](https://www.petcoach.co/article/pancreatitis-inflammation-in-dogs), or even [parvovirus](https://www.petcoach.co/article/canine-parvovirus-7-things-to-know) depending on his age. I would recommend having him seen by a vet right away - he/she can palpate his belly to check for any abnormalities, and may also need to do blood work and x-rays to determine the problem. Caramelo will likely need IV fluids for dehydration and may need to be hospitalized for further treatment depending on what's wrong.

I think my dog is constipated or has diarrhea but I'm not sure, he still eat but when he walks It looks like he might stumble on his feet because he's so weak and walk so slow. What should I do?
Rio sounds like he is very sick. When pets begin to show evidence of weakness, this indicates that there is severe illness taking place. This could be due to many things including dehydration, low blood sugar, electrolyte imbalance, infection or neurologic disease. It is impossible to know what is happening without a physical exam and blood work. I recommend to have Rio examined by his veterinarian right away. Serious conditions that are treated early are more likely to have a better outcome. Best of luck.

My dog is eating and drinking but he keeps on losing weight. He is lethargic and losing his strength. What could be the problem with him? I’m so worried.
Cookie is experiencing very general symptoms of disease, these symptoms could fit almost any internal condition, it could be due to a serious condition such as cancer but it could also be due to a foreign body in the stomach for example, from the symptoms described it's very hard to know. i would recommend taking him to the vet as soon as possible in order to get him checked, if he doesn't show any other obvious symptoms during the examination, a blood test and possibly an ultrasound will be needed in order to try and find out what is wrong with Cookie .

Hi i observed my beagle dog, and it seems hes not feeling well. Hes not eating for a day already. He was not being hyper unlike before and looks so weak. We offer 2 different food (with rice and dog food only) but hes not eating it since yesterday. H
It sounds like Code is sick. I am concerned he hasn't eaten for a day and he's weak. Not eating can be a sign of many problems such as dental disease, systemic illness, infection, or injury. Without seeing him in person, I can't say what is going on. I'd have him seen by a vet today to get this diagnosed and treated. Best of luck.

I'm quite concerned the specs of red in Kane's vomit is blood. Vomiting blood is a medical emergency and he sounds quite sick. You cannot treat this at home, you need to take him into a vet immediately.

Vomiting can be a sign of a number of different problems ranging from minor issues like eating a non-food item from the yard to more serious diseases. Sometimes after vomiting dogs can feel nauseous or weak, so I wouldn't be too concerned about Poochie not responding to his name unless he also seems disoriented or extremely lethargic. If the vomiting continues or he continues to act very abnormal you should see an emergency veterinarian. While it is probably okay to drink a little water I wouldn't encourage him to drink too much as this can sometimes trigger more vomiting.
