My Boston Terrier is acting strange: whining, ear scratching, accidents. Sick?

Pet's info: Dog | Boston Terrier | Female | spayed | 7 years and 10 months old | 25 lbs

My 8 year old female Boston Terrier has been acting super strange lately and I'm worried she might be sick. She's constantly whining, scratching her right ear, and having accidents on the floor. Any clue what could be some possible problems? Is it worth getting her an appointment? (We have tight funds)

There could be a few things going on with Sasha. She could have an ear infection causing the itching of her ears, and the accidents on the floor could be due to a UTI or bladder stones. Yes, I think it's definitely worth having her seen by a vet for this.

That is hard to say since Sasha can’t talk and tell you what she is feeling. It’s possible she is uncomfortable somehow (arthritis, urinary tract infection, anal gland problem) or that something in the environment is making her have anxiety. Try taking her for a long walk followed by a training session. See if this helps to get her settled and back to normal. Also check the environment for anything that may cause her distress such as abnormal sounds or being able to see a cat or squirrels out the window. If the symptoms persist for longer than 24 days, have her checked out by her veterinarian for any pain or signs of infection. How do I know when to put my dog down. Been treating her for yeast infection, ears draining (using mometamax), skin oily, she sleeps all the time, isn't active and has accidents in the house which she never had before. Been treating her for months b
It's one possibility of course, but most skin conditions are treatable. maybe she needs to see a dermatologist. regarding the accidents there are medications for that as well, you should mention it to your vet next time you take her.

Scratching at the ears and shaking the head is often signs of an ear infection. Since Taswell is also having a little bit of vomiting and some accidents it could also be a sign of allergy or other systemic illness. I would recommend a veterinary visit to check for an air infection or other signs of illness for Taswell. I hope he's feeling better soon, thank you for using Boop by Petco.

It could be Maren ate something when she was outside that upset her stomach or she may have hurt herself. Without seeing her in person, I can't say what is going on. I do think it's a good idea to have her seen by a vet for a health check. I hope this helps!

I have a Boston Terrier and she is itching bad. What can I do
Poor girl. Look at her skin to see if there are any injuries or cuts to the skin that could be causing this. Also signs of infection are yellow or green exit 8 on the skin which can cause itching as well. If you do see these things or any abnormalities to the skin that she needs to see a veterinarian for proper treatment because it's typically involves oral antibiotics, and allergy meds to stop the itch. In the meantime you can try bathing her in an oatmeal-based puppy shampoo from your local pet store to help alleviate some of the itch. I hope your for baby feels better soon!

Aww, I’m sorry to hear about Daisy! I see this commonly with either pain or anxiety. These little guys can easily injure their backs and legs which can cause changes in behavior and the way they stand- as well as shaking. You may also notice Daisy avoiding the dog door or refusing to jump on beds/couches as she normally does. I recommend taking her in for a good physical exam to see if this might be the case. Hello, thank you for your question about Sasha. Some of the symptoms that you are describing such as agitation and reluctance to lie down/walk normally could be secondary to pain/discomfort. Dogs can be uncomfortable for a variety of reasons. I would recommend having Sasha seen by your veterinarian so that they can examine her and try to localize the source of her pain. Hope this helps!

Poor Willow sounds quite sick! She could have a pyometra (an infection of the uterus that is fatal without treatment), a systemic illness, or may have gotten into something toxic causing her symptoms. Without seeing her in person, I can't say for certain. The best thing to do is take her into a vet immediately, as she is too sick to treat at home.

My bosten terrier pocket has been running a fever for 4 days now. She wont eat will drink water has a few runny stools losing wieght
Oh my. This does sound serious. She could have a bacterial, viral or parasitic infection causing her fever, lack of appetite and loose stool. I am unsure how old she is or if she has been fully vaccinated, but she needs to see a vet right away for bloodwork analysis to ty and find out what type of infection is there, so that the correct medications are prescribed for her. I would recommend taking her in as soon as possible if you want to help Pocket have any chance of improving her condition. I hope that Pocket is able to make a full and speedy recovery.
