It could be normal as long as it has no smell to it, there's no blood in it, and it isn't green or brown. Without seeing Eva in person, I can't say for certain. Have her seen by a vet for it to be safe.

    A very small amount of discharge may be normal, especially if it isn't thick and is mostly clear. However if the discharge continues, becomes bloody, green, thick/yellow (like pus) or black, take her in immediately for veterinary care.

Hello, congratulations on your upcoming pups. Clear discharge from the vulva is expected and normal if only happening occasionally. If this discharge becomes persistent, if she becomes lethargic, loses her appetite, has a painful belly, or is having worse discharge, then she should be evaluated by her veterinarian immediately. Otherwise, as long as she is acting like her normal self and this discharge is self limiting, you may continue to watch her at home. Hope this helps and best of luck.

A moderate amount of clear, sticky vaginal discharge is normal for a pregnant dog, especially close to delivery of the puppies. The increased hormone levels cause an increase in the lubrication produced by the vagina. As long as there is no evidence of dark green color in the discharge, a milky or creamy appearance or foul odor no treatment is needed. It does not mean that she will give birth earlier.

It could be normal discharge. I would not be concerned about it if she is still acting normal and eating and drinking ok. We only get alarmed if we see green or black discharge (which could indicate placental rupture). A slight mainly clear discharge from the vagina can be normal but yellow/creamy discharge is usually a sign of a uterine infection which is a very serious condition in female dogs. i strongly recommend taking her to the vet ASAP in order to get it checked and treated.

This discharge may be normal, but it could also indicate infection. Ideally, Cocoa should be physically examined by your veterinarian to confirm all is well and the pups are doing fine. Monitor her for lethargy, fever, loss of appetite, abdominal pain, excessive discharge or active bleeding.

A pregnant dog will develop a mucus plug over her cervix, which keeps bacteria out of the uterus, protecting the fetuses. This plug is a whitish fluid resembling egg whites and should have no odor. In some dogs, the mucus plug causes a discharge throughout the pregnancy. Even though you described a perfumish odor I suspect this is what you are seeing. I don't know if your vet did this or not but I would suggest they take some of the discharge and look at it under the microscope. If there is a lot of white blood cells or bacteria that would be cause for concern. If your vets are not reproductive experts they can always call and consult with one. My Chinese Shar Pei is 59 days along,, she had green discharge last night, but does not seem distressed ,, but she is showing other signs that delivery is near. Should I be worried?
Sometimes green discharge can mean premature placental separation, and this would mean that part or all of the litter is in danger. Usually this means that labor is not proceeding normally and that one pup does not have enough blood supply to survive unless it is delivered quickly. Hopefully this is normal discharge prior to whelping for Ebony, but to make sure I would recommend a visit to your reproduction veterinarian for a full exam. An ultrasound can tell you if the pups are all alive and doing ok, based on counting the heart rates of the puppies and evaluating the appearance of the uterus. If there is premature placental separation, then it is possible that a C-section could be warranted to save that particular pup in distress. Good luck and I hope that helps!

My black labrdor pregnent (day 39) female having a colour less discharge why it occurs and is that safe her to take to her walk (1.5km) approx distance 2 times a day..
This is a normal discharge, and as long as it's not yellow, green, or has a foul odor, I would not worry about it. As long as you walk her at her pace, stopping if she seems tired, then this distance is fine :-)
