Pet's info: Dog | German Shepherd | Female | unspayed | 60 lbs
Hi! My dog has been sick for about 2 days now. At first, all I saw was limping and a reduced appetite, so I assumed she just hurt her leg and will recover as she rests. However, I recently saw a long green line coming from her vagina and at first I thought it was a leaf, but my sister immediately said it wasn't. I found some explanation online as to what it is (she isn't spayed), but I can't explain the limping. Now, she's very sad, tired, and won't eat. What should I do?

Take Beauty into a vet immediately, She may have a pyometra, which is fatal without treatment. Focus on getting that looked at first before worrying about the limping. Limping won't kill her, but an untreated pyometra will.

I am sorry to hear about Storm. This could most definitely be pyometra if she is leaking liquid from her vulva. If this is the case, this is a medical emergency and she needs to be seen right away, especially if she has been sick for days. The treatment for pyometra is surgery to remove the infected utereus. The vet will examine her and recommend imaging (such as x-ray or ultrasound) to check for an enlarged/fluid filled uterus and bloodwork to see just how sick Storm is and what kind of supportive care is going to be needed.
