No, that's not safe. I can give you a home remedy for Ottis to see if that helps. Feed him a bland diet of boiled white meat chicken (no bones) and white rice in small amounts several times a day for a couple of days. Then slowly add back in his normal diet. If he vomits the bland diet, develops diarrhea, stops drinking water, starts vomiting water, or becomes very lethargic, he will need to see a vet right away.

Withhold food for 12 hours, then feed a bland diet of boiled white meat chicken (no bones) and white rice in small amounts several times a day for a couple of days. Then slowly add back in his normal diet. If the vomiting continues in the absence of food, he vomits the bland diet, develops diarrhea, stops drinking water, starts vomiting water, or becomes very lethargic, he will need to see a vet right away. As for the amount of times you are feeding him, at seven months of age he only needs to be fed twice a day, once in the morning and once in the evening. Take the daily recommended allotment of food on his bag, and divide it into two equal meals. Best of luck!

Hi my French bulldog pup is nearly 11 weeks old I have got up this morning and there is 2x vomit on the floor and 5x diarrhoea on my floor what do u recommend?
As very often these episodes are only dietary related I would suggest to withhold food for the next 8-12 hours and then start feeding with a bland diet based on boiled chicken and rice in small portion every 6 hours for the following 48hours. Then gradually reintroduce the normal diet over 5 days. I would definitively recommend a veterinary check up if the signs persist or you notice lethargy or inappetence. It's possible that the vomiting is caused by a slight change in diet or stress from moving to a new home. If Tyson has a poor appetite or develops diarrhea or lethargy, or if the vomiting lasts longer than 24 hours, I would recommend having him checked out by a vet.

The vomiting you described sounds normal. Vomit only contains what is in the stomach at the time, so as the vomiting continues there will be less and less available, hence the color changes. First, I would look around the house and yard to see if there is anything that you can find that Cooper may have gotten into or eaten. Look carefully at plants, small things, destroyed things, or missing contents of a trash can. If you don't find anything, then I would remove all food for 12 hours, but encourage him to drink water or pedialyte. If the vomiting continues in a few hours, I would recommend that Cooper be evaluated by an emergency vet to see what could be going on. At the very least, he could get an anti-nausea shot that will help him get some rest tonight. If the vomiting starts again after he eats, if he has a poor appetite, or if he starts having diarrhea, the Cooper should get checked out by a vet tomorrow.

I am so sorry to hear about Boo! I would recommend a trip to the vet given your description of vomiting numerous times in a short time frame combined with lethargy. Unfortunately with vomiting we are limited in our "at home" treatments and when they are vomiting so frequently it is really best to have them seen before they become too dehydrated. Your vet may recommend testing such as an x-ray to check for things like foreign objects and bloodwork to check for things like pancreatitis. They can give injectable medication to help stop the vomiting and fluids via an IV to help rehydrate Boo.
