My cat ate string. Will it pass and what should I do to help?

Pet's info: Cat | Mixed Breed | Male | neutered | 11 months and 1 day old | 10 lbs

My 11 month old cat ate a 3.5 inch string. Will he be fine and should I do anything to let it pass?

If he ate it within the past 2 hours, have him seen by your veterinarian or at the nearest veterinary ER. Either can induce vomiting via injection to get the string out. Leo may pass it on his own, but if it gets caught up inside him, he may need emergency surgery to remove it. Monitor for lethargy, vomiting, loss of appetite or abdominal pain.
