My 5-month puppy needs shots. Is Spectra 9 vaccine the right one?

Hello.. My puppy is almost 5 maybe six months old. And i and just now able to get him his shots.. I was told to get him the spectre 9 vaccine.. I just want to be sure that these are ok before i give it to him.. Please help me

Yes that is fine. Diogo will need two vaccines each given four weeks apart to be fully vaccinated. He also needs rabies, which is required by law and can only be given by a vet. Make an appointment with a vet to get that done.

Canine Spectra 5 is ok to give Leo, but he will also need a rabies vaccine. The rabies vaccine is required by law in most US states, and it can only be given by a veterinarian. You will need to make an appointment with a vet to get this done. Both vaccines will need a booster four weeks after the first vaccine to give full immunity. I hope this helps!

So I just received the answer for whether or not I should give my nearly 9 week old pups Spectra 5 or 10, however, I'm curious how I continue about booster shots? 13, 17, 21 weeks? And do I do the next level Spectra vaccination for each?
If you vaccinate now, they should receive boosters at around 12-13 weeks, and then the third series 4 weeks later. They only need the three rounds. If you give Spectra 5 the first time, I would recommend Spectra 10 for the next two series. The Spectra 10 vaccinates against leptospirosis, and they need to have that twice, 4 weeks apart. Make sure they also receive a rabies vaccination with a veterinarian at 16 weeks of age. All vaccines will need to be boostered in 1 year. Thanks for using Boop by Petco.

My dog hasn’t been vaccinated she’s older than 12 weeks should I give her canine spectra 5?
You can but it would be best to have a vet administer the vaccinations so they can talk to you about what else she may need. She will also needs boosters. So, technically, yes you can give that vaccination yourself if you feel comfortable doing it. Two more boosters 3-4 week apart would be needed afterwards. Mabel will be due for a rabies vaccination by 16 weeks of age and that has to be administered by a vet (this is law) so you are best off taking her and getting them all done together. My puppy received distemper/adenovirus type 2/parvovirus/parainfluenza shots at 6 weeks. What shots are required at 9 weeks?
Usually, another 1-2 sets of the combo vaccine are required. Your vet may also recommend additional vaccines depending on your location, such as for leptospirosis or bordetella. Once your pup is about 4-6 months of age, they will also need their first rabies vaccination.

All dogs should have at least a rabies vaccine and distemper/parvovirus (DHPP) combination vaccine. If your dog has never had vaccines, he will need to be boosted with the distemper/parvovirus combination in 3-4 weeks. The rabies vaccine he gets will be a 1 year vaccine and next year he can get a 3 year booster. If there is a Petco/Vetco near you, then you can have him vaccinated there. Okay I have a puppy about 10-11 weeks old. He was brought over from Mexico to California before receiving all his vaccinations. I’m the attached image are the three vaccinations that he has received in Mexico. From what I can understand “parvovirus”
Thank you for submitting your question regarding your puppy. Puppies require boosters of the distemper-parvo combination vaccines every 2-4 weeks until they reach a minimum of 16 weeks of age. Rabies can be given between 12-16 weeks of age depending on local laws where you live. Puppies need two vaccines for leptospirosis. Is the Canine Spectra 6 in 1 shot okay to use? I have an eight week old beagle that I got yesterday. He hasn’t had any shots yet and was wondering if that product is recommended and safe to use?
I personally do not recommend giving vaccines yourself at home. Owners frequently give them wrong, and places where you buy them, like Tractor Supply, often store the vaccine incorrectly, rendering them ineffective. I cannot tell you how many pets I've seen come down with parvo and distemper who have been vaccinated at home. Bandit's health is up most importance, so I would have him vaccinated by a vet. I have a nine week old puppy. If I start vaccinating now, would I use a 5 way and how many times?
At nine weeks of age the distemper combination vaccination series can be started (sometimes called a 5-way, sometimes called a DHPP or DAPP. This vaccine needs to be repeated every 3 to 4 weeks until your puppy is 16 weeks of age. I would recommend an examination by a veterinarian if your puppy hasn't had one yet and getting his vaccinations done by a veterinarian. There are a few reasons for this. The vet can examine your puppy to be sure there aren't any health problems/congenital disease that are a concern. The vet can do a fecal test to be sure your pup doesn't have intestinal parasites, which are very common at this age. The vet can also discuss other vaccines that may be appropriate for your puppy (such as the bordetella or kennel cough vaccine and the leptosporosis vaccine). You can be certain the vaccines given by the vet are gauranteed to be safe and effective (and purchased by a company that gaurantees their efficacy and will pay for treatment if there was vaccine failure)

You should book a vet appointment as soon as you can for a routine check up and vaccinations and de worming. Your vet can help you with any vaccines you need for your area but typically the first/ basic vaccine is a combined coverage for 4-5 typical and common diseases and is pretty standard. Rabies is usually recommended and given as a separate injection (during the same appointment). You will need to take your dog for a second appointment for some follow up boosters (you vet will tell you when, usually a couple weeks to a month later). Until these vaccines have been administered and a couple weeks have passed before your dog is provided with full immunity, it is best to avoid public places where other dogs frequent or contact with other dogs to prevent infection of illness.

The distemper/parvo combination (5 in 1) is given every 3 weeks until they are older than 16 weeks of age. Depending on your area, a lepto or lyme vaccine may be needed and those are started at 8 or 10 weeks. A rabies vaccine is required by law and given at 12-16 weeks of age.
