Why is my pregnant dog aggressive, biting, and missing heat cycles?

Updated On September 23rd, 2025

Pet's info: Dog | Yorkshire Terrier | Female | unspayed | 2 years and 6 months old | 7 lbs

I have 2 dogs, I decided to get the second one 6 months ago (Leon, Yorkie) because Kira (2 year 6 month Yorkie) was being too selfish. It has helped since she now shares with Leon at playtime and does not get aggressive. I am also pregnant, and she has now become more aggressive, she bit my face today (gladly wasnt too serious), and Leon is also now scared of her. She also has missed her last two heat cycles. Do these all correlate? Should I get her neutered? Does this sound more like hormonal?

This could be hormonal, and it's very serious Kira bit you in the face. I'd be very concerned about an aggressive dog around a baby. You should have her spayed, and get her into professional behavioral training.
