My cat is dry heaving and drooling after throwing up food. What to do?

Pet's info: Cat | Bengal | Male | 2 years and 4 months old | 10 lbs

My cat is dry heaving and drooling after throwing up hard food. He runs away from me like he did something bad. Drove to vet hospital and they said 6-7 hours. He acted fine we came home and he had a little food and started dry heaving again and drooling and running away from me. I have no idea what to do.

Feed him a bland diet of boiled white meat chicken (no bones) in small amounts several times a day for a couple of days. Then slowly add back in his normal diet. If he refuses to eat the bland diet, he vomits the bland diet, develops diarrhea, stops drinking water, starts vomiting water, or becomes very lethargic, he will need to see a vet right away. Begin with 1 teaspoon of food every hour and gradually increase the amount if there is no vomiting. Feed bland until symptoms resolve then transition slowly to the regular diet. Symptoms that should be addressed by your veterinarian include lethargy, persistent vomiting or diarrhea, loss of appetite or abdominal pain.

My dog started excessively drooling today. He's eating and drinking and going to the bathroom ok, but so much drool. I've checked his mouth and don't see anything obvious. What could cause this suddenly?

My cat keeps dry wretching without bringing up fur
