Pet's info: Cat | Domestic Mediumhair | Male | neutered | 7 lbs
I have a neutered approx. year old B/W cat named Bandit. It appears that, almost overnight, his right eye is missing all the hair surrounding it and the eyelid, and has puffed out and looks scabby. No discharge or damage to his eye as of yet. He's a strictly indoor cat with no history of allergies etc. What could this be? Can I do anything to give him relief while I try to get him to his vet? I imagine it must suck for him!

Thank you for submitting your question regarding Bandit. He may have an allergy or allergic reaction, an infection in that eye or a scratch across the surface of the eye. I agree that he needs to see his veterinarian. In the meantime, keep the eye free of any discharge that may start. Do not allow him to paw at the eye as can cause further damage. Place on E-collar on him if necessary. I hope this information helps!
