You can take Opie into a vet now to have vomiting induced, or you can monitor him. Watch him for signs such as vomiting, diarrhea, abdominal pain, a hunched up appearance, lethargy, and a loss of appetite. If you see any of those signs, have him seen by a vet immediately.

More than likely, Max will be fine. The paper towel should pass through him, and I would monitor his poop to see if it comes out. There is a chance the grease from the fried chicken could cause some problems, such as pancreatitis or GI upset. If Max begins vomiting, especially undigested food, that is a symptom of pancreatitis, and he will need to be taken into a vet right away. I would monitor him for vomiting, not eating, lethargy, diarrhea, vomiting water, and not drinking water. If you see any of those signs, take him into your vet immediately.

Yes, it is likely the chicken that caused these symptoms in Sandi. Fatty foods are not tolerated well by dogs, and can lead to vomiting and diarrhea. It can also cause pancreatitis, which is life threatening. I'm not sure what medication you are giving her, but I would not recommend giving her any medication that has not been prescribed by a vet. I would take her into a vet for an exam to be safe, if she hasn't seen a vet already.

I would just watch him closely. If you notice any vomiting or diarrhea then I would have your vet take a look at him. Chances are he only got a small amount. You could feed him a little canned food tonight or boiled boneless, skinless chicken and white rice to help bulk up his stool to help coat any of the fragments IF he swallowed any of it. If any abnormal behavior is noticed, I would take him to the vet. I hope this helps!

Signs you need to watch for are vomiting or a decreased appetite primarily. If you notice either of these signs peppa should be evaluated by a veterinarian right away. You should also watch for diarrhea and feed her a bland, low fat diet such as cooked chicken breast and rice if this occurs. If peppa does start vomiting or refuses her food we worry that The bones caused irritation of the esophagus, stomach or intestine or worse case scenario that they caused an obstruction or perforation in the bowel. A veterinarian would do an X-ray to evaluate what is likely going on.

My dog ate chicken wings. What should I do?
This is a fairly common problem, unfortunately - dogs are good at getting into things that they shouldn't eat! I would expect that Charlie may have some mild GI upset for the next day or two (mild vomiting or diarrhea) - as long as he's active and eating and drinking normally, I wouldn't necessarily worry. There is a small chance that the bones could cause a blockage or an intestinal perforation - this is not common in my experience, but something to watch out for. Some dogs may also get serious illnesses like pancreatitis as a result of eating greasy "people food" like chicken wings. I would monitor Charlie closely for the next 24-48 hours - if he stops eating, has repeated episodes of vomiting, or diarrhea with blood in it then I would recommend having him seen by a vet right away in case of a serious problem.

Hello, sorry to hear about Chase. You can have your veterinarian induce vomiting, however, this may not cause significant clincal signs. He may develop some diarrhea and vomiting as well as a decreased appetite. This is likely due to a dietary indiscretion, however this can also be from hime developing pancreatitis. If you note these signs and they persist for longer the 3-5 days, or if he vomits more than 3 -4 times in one day, or if he develops bloody diarrhea then he should be evaluated immediately. In the interim, you can feed him a bland diet of plain white rice, skinless and boneless boiled chicken, and low fat cottage cheese. Hope this helps and best of luck.

Hello and thank you for contacting Boop by Petco. You should monitor your dog at home for signs of vomiting, diarrhea, muscle tremors, abdominal pain, lethargy. If you notice any of these symptoms you should take your dog to your local vets as an emergency. Typically, the symptoms of food intoxication commence within 2-6 hrs after ingestion. Inducing vomiting in dogs that ate bones is never recommended as it pose a risk of esophageal tear from the sharp bones. Salmonellosis is a potential risk after eating decomposing food, however, Salmonella infection is not common in dogs in general. Typically, the symptoms include vomiting, diarrhea and fever.

It's possible the bacteria from the chicken could cause Kipper some GI upset such as vomiting or diarrhea. Removing his regular food and feeding a bland meal of cooked and not-spoiled chicken and rice may help, however if he shows symptoms such as a tender abdomen, bloody vomiting or diarrhea, or diarrhea and vomiting that lasts for more than a day, veterinary care should be sought to treat any infection and illness caused by the spoiled food.

If it was boneless, your dog may have some vomiting or diarrhea from getting food that s/he isn't used to. If it had bones, this is more concerning. Chicken bones are brittle and break into sharp fragments that can damage the intestinal tract as it moves through. Either way, keep an eye out for vomiting, diarrhea, lethargy, abdominal pain. If the chicken was boneless, don't give her any food for 12-24 hours so her gut can rest after such a rich meal and keep an eye on her. If she ate bones and shows any adverse symptoms, get her in to be seen by a vet right away.
