Why is my dog peeing inside, breathing oddly, and pooping blood?

Pet's info: Dog | Mixed Breed Medium (23 - 60lb) | Male | neutered | 1 year and 6 months old | 43 lbs

I’m a first time dog owner and I’ve got a few concerns about my dog. He is mixed breed, 1.5 years old. He seems to pee when he shouldn’t - one time 2 hours after I took him out, yesterday he peed next to his crate when he was left alone for 2 hours after I took him out right before I left. Should I be concerned? He also has funny breathing patterns (it’s like in, in, out), burps a lot, and had blood on his poo 2 days ago. I don’t know if I’m being paranoid because I’m worried or if its an issue.

I don't think you are being paranoid, there are some worrying issues here including frequent urination, funny breathing, and blood in Oreo's poop. You need to take him into the vet to get checked out.

Bleeding from the rear end and heavy breathing can be a sign of potential poisoning that has led to a bleeding disorder. Or if your pet has not been vaccinated for parvovirus then there is a potential she could have parvo and the abnormal breathing is due to pain. Either condition warrants a veterinary visit asap to best diagnose your pet properly so that treatment can be stopped right away and hopefully you don't have to deal with a terrible tragedy involving your pet if this is dealt with quickly and efficiently.

Hi, thanks for using Boop by Petco! Poor Merida! Blood in the stool indicates inflammation. Sometimes blood can appear in the stool if an animal is stressed. Other causes are: intestinal parasites, viral or bacterial infections, metabolic conditions (kidney, liver, Addison's disease), toxin ingestion, new treat or food sensitivity, or ate something gross outside that isn't agreeing with her. Since she is acing fine feed her a bland diet for a couple of days. Boil chicken or hamburger and mix it with rice. Feed 1 cup per 20lbs per day. Feed it until 2 normal stools are seen. If the blood persists or diarrhea starts then I would have her seen by a Vet and bring a stool sample. You can also start a probiotic, I like Purina Fortiflora which you can find online. Now the frequent urination could be marking behavior or it could be a urinary tract infection, crystals in the urine or bladder stones. If this type of urination continues I recommend having her urine checked by your Vet for bact

Dog starting acting weird last night. He woke up today peeing blood. Hasn’t thrown up. But he did eat and drink some water. We even gave him water with apple v in it. He’s just lethargic. And I’m worried.
Poor guy. I too am worried that he could have a bleeding disorder, urinary stones, or a raging urinary tract infection. I would highly recommend taking him to your vet as soon as you can. They need to do some bloodwork and a urinalysis on him to determine what his current health status is. Best case scenario is that he has a raging UTI, which typically responds to antibiotics. Male dog urinating blood. Twice now. I took him on a run this morning and all seemed...he was just a little tired. But then this started. His feces are "spraying" almost like diarrhea.
I would recommend taking him to a vet as soon as possible. Urinating blood and liquid diarrhea can be very serious issues. The bloody urine could be caused by kidney disease, urinary tract infection, bladder stones, bladder masses, cystitis, trauma and infection. The liquid diarrhea could be related to gastric upset, stress, trauma, infectious disease and parasites. He needs to see a vet for some basic test like a urine sample, fecal and possible x-ray to determine what the cause is and proper medications

Reasons for blood in the stool include colitis, intestinal parasites and dietary indiscretion and some possible reasons of blood in the urine include urinary tract infections, urinary stones and even tumors. Thank you for using Boop by Petco. Tip toe needs to go to a veterinarian immediately. Urinating blood can indicating a bladder infection or something potentially life threatening like a clotting disorder. The fact that he is also committing indicates systemic illness. The veterinarian will perform a physical exam and then recommend diagnostics such as urinalysis bloodwork or possibly radiographs (xrays). Good luck and I hope he’s better soon.

Thank you for submitting your question regarding Solder. I do recommend that he sees a veterinarian. Blood in the urine of a male dog is always worrisome. Given the male anatomy, urinary tract infections are rare. Rat poisoning ingestion can cause a bleeding disorder. He could also have another bleeding disorder, bladder stones or a bladder tumor. All of these conditions require treatment and will not resolve on their own. I hope this information helps!

Vomiting and diarrhea with blood can be caused by things like severe gastroenteritis, gastrointestinal ulcers, among other possibilities. Rowdy may be urinating like that because of a urinary infection for example. I recommend that you have him evaluated by a veterinarian as soon as possible for further assessment and treatment. Bella's feces are perfectly normal. However the bloody urine is a serious concern. Blood in urine is usually a sign of a severe Urinary Tract Infection, possible bladder stones or, rarely at this age, a cancerous growth or polyps. Bella needs to be seen by a veterinarian for an exam, a urinalysis and possibly blood work to rule out kidney disease. She will need antibiotics and pain medicine. Please take her to a vet ASAP.

Poor Oreo! That is very concerning that all he wants to do is sleep and is vomiting and having diarrhea. He really needs to be examined by a vet to determine the cause. It could be related to his fall or it could be caused by an infection, parasites, etc. Your vet can run lab work and take x-rays, if needed, to help diagnose and then determine the best way to treat, depending on the diagnosis. Please call your vet and have him seen as soon as possible. Hope he feels better soon!
