Why is my dog licking lips, drooling, eating grass, and throwing up?

Updated On September 23rd, 2025

Pet's info: Dog | Boxer | Male | neutered | 75 lbs

All of a sudden my 5 yr old boxer will start licking his lips, drooling and acts nervous. We take him out and he searches the yard for a certain kind of grass and eats until he feels better. This happens at all different times. You never known when it will happen. He has had 3 already this week. No diarrhea, his appetite is normal. He will vomit the next morning which is all the grass he ate from the day before.

It could be Mason is feeling a bit nauseous. Licking the lips and eating grass can be signs of nausea. Given this happens a couple of times this week, I think it's worth taking him into the vet for a health check this weekend.
