My dog keeps licking her leg wounds despite meds. How to stop?

My dog has severe lick granuloma’s on her legs and i got her medicine refilled after and she’s going after her legs really bad now. I’m calling the vet first thing in the morning

You definitely should call the vet in the morning, but until then, we have to stop the licking or it will make things worse. Put an Ecollar on her to keep her from licking it. You can get one at a pet store or make one at home. If you want to make one at home, I will put a link below on how to make it. Try to get her into a vet tomorrow. Hello. That does look extremely irritated. The first thing to do is put an Elizabethan cone on her to prevent further self-mutilation. You can clean the area with a good skin cleanser like Hibiclens, available at all pharmacies, but in all honesty, I would have your vet take a look at this. She may need a mild steroid ointment to control the inflammation as well as oral antibiotics. But the important thing is to keep her from continuing to lick the area until some healing has occurred. It looks like it could be a wound that's healing, and him licking it will disturb the healing process and could introduce infection into the area. My dog has been licking and biting her right front leg for the past three weeks. I recently noticed that the spot that has been bothering her is raw (see attached photo). What can I do to heal this spot and prevent further irritation?
First thing you need to do is get an E-collar (cone) for her to wear. My dog has been digging and opened a sore on her pad that is above her paw on her leg, she has been licking it and it won't get better, we've tried to tape it with some Neosporin but she keeps biting the tape off, what do I do?
Hi there and thank you for using Boop by Petco to address your concern. I would recommend a plastic cone to go around Kali's head to prevent her from licking / chewing at the sore. She will likely need an ointment more effective than neosporin. I would recommend buying a plastic cone at the pet store and using an ointment such as Zymox topica ointment. If the sore worsens I would then schedule an examination with your veterinarian so that the most appropriate treatment recommendations can be made. The vet can prescribe a better ointment than neosporin to help prevent infection and relieve any inflammation. I hope this helps guide you in the right direction. My dog has had various leg ops. Long time since he’s had an op but always licks and reopens the wound. Today he must have been licking it whilst I was out. It was bubbling and fizzing out of the wound.

They would be able to check the extent of the wounds and see what would be best to treat them. What you can do in the meantime is use an e-collar in the to prevent further injury. She really should see a vet for this, as I would be concerned that the wound is infected and she needs antibiotics to heal it. Vets are trained to work with aggressive dogs, so that should not be a deterrent to bringing her into the vet. I'd take her in as soon as possible. Hello. Poor baby. You can use an Elizabethan cone to keep her from reaching the area. There are the rigid plastic ones which might stress her out, so I would find one of the soft, flexible ones, or one that blows up like a soft neck collar. They also make body suits for dogs that can be used after surgeries & to protect wounds.
