My cat is 65 days pregnant with no nesting signs. Should I worry?

Hey my cat is 65 day pregnant she is not showing any sign of nesting.

Cats can go up to 68 days of pregnancy, so I wouldn't worry just yet. Set up Mano in her own room with a nesting box, food, water, and litter. Have her seen by a vet if she reaches 69 days of pregnancy with no signs of going into labor.

Gestation is about 63-65 days, so you should be seeing signs of labor soon. If your timing is right, it should be any day now. You may be slightly off on your timing and maybe she has been pregnant for less time than you think? Look for signs of labor such as nesting behavior, vocalization, being more affectionate, licking the vulva and a change in appetite. Cats do not always give clear signs of labor like dogs so it can be tricky sometimes to notice when a cat is in labor. I hope this helps! Gestation is 63 to 65 days on average. Make sure she has a box where she can have her babies. Her nipples will likely leak milk within 12-24 hrs of giving birth. There is still time so do not panic yet. Cats are pretty good at having babies, even when it is her first time. Do not disturb her much, the more stressed she is (constantly checking is stress...) the more likely she will delay having her babies.

Hello. The average gestation is 63 days, but if all is OK in that Silvy is eating & acting fairly normal, then I would give her a few more days. It is possible that your dates may be off by a few days, or she bred on additional days. Don't panic! Unless you know exactly when she ovulated, you don't know exactly when she is due. Cats have an average gestation of 65 days from the time of ovulation, and she may have ovulated days after she was bred. Hang in there, and watch for signs of nesting, restlessness, and inappetence.

Unfortunately not. If you are sure about the days, I think it would be best to have her checked at your local veterinarian to see if the kittens are all vital and make sure there is no significant obstruction of the pelvic canal (by one of the puppies). Unfortunately there is not much you can effectively do back home to help. No, nursing won't cause her to not go into labor. A cat's pregnancy can last up to 68 days, so you still have time. If Lavender reaches 69 days of pregnancy without going into labor, take her into the vet for a health check. I hope this helps!

While some people notice a change in the nipples when a cat is pregnant it is not a very accurate predictor. I think you should see a veterinarian to confirm the pregnancy and make sure the kittens are okay and not in distress. Occasionally cats will need help with labor either through medical management or a c-section and if she is 63 days today it would be a good idea to check for signs of fetal distress.

Hello Lovely may begin to create a nest such as gather up blankets, or toys in a hidden place where she may be comfortable to deliver her kittens. She may also begin to hide more and she will begin to grow her mammary glands. Pregnancy in cats may vary from 62-67 days. Hope this helps and best of luck.

I would take Pepsi into a vet immediately. A cat's pregnancy can last from 58-68 days, but if this end point is reached with no signs of kittens, then veterinary attention is needed. She needs evaluation from a vet to determine if she needs help with giving birth. Please take her into a vet now.
