My cat has tan seeds on her bed. Could it be tapeworms if she's healthy?

Updated On September 23rd, 2025

Pet's info: Cat | American Shorthair | Female | unspayed | 9 months and 14 days old | 5 lbs

My cat has small round tan looking seeds on her bed where she lays. Everything i read online says it’s tapeworms although i don’t find any specimens of worms in her litter box and i don’t believe she has fleas. She also eats well and maintains healthy weight and does not vomit. She acts like a perfectly healthy cat. Any input would be helpful!

It could be tapeworms. When a cat has tapeworms, you see the segments of them, which look like grains of rice. You typically don't see full worms in the poop. You need to have Mudpie seen by a vet in the morning to have this diagnosed and treated.
