My dog has some sort of rash - black lesion on his lower back & tail. See attached picture. The redness is from him scratching - licking. I lost my job several months ago and cannot afford a Vet visit. He has had all his shots and on Advantics feel n tick - plus heart worm meds. Is there a lotion I can apply to help with the itching? Thank you, ~ Susan

Hi Susan. This really looks like a flea allergy. I know you have him on Advantix but it may not be working well for him anymore. Keep that in mind. You may want to consider switching to a different product. For now you need to get an E-collar on him to stop the licking and scratching. If you don't, no matter what you apply to that area, it won't heal with him licking/scratching at it. I suggest you try this Vetericyn spray product 3-4 times per day. If after about 5 days it is not getting better then you will need to have a vet look at him. Hope this helps!
