Friendly dog suddenly aggressive. Is it from an old head injury?

Updated On September 23rd, 2025

Pet's info: Dog | Mixed Breed | Male | neutered | 59 lbs

My boyfriend's dog who's a lab mix weighing 59 pounds. Which is very friendly and we'll mannered and very good with young kids. All the sudden showed aggression. A few weeks ago he bumped his head on a pillar in the basement and shook it off and went back to play with his rope ball. Is it a possibility he may have an internal injury?

If Shadow had an injury from bumping his head a few weeks ago, I'd have expected to see symptoms before now. I'm concerned about this sudden aggression which can be a sign of pain or illness. Have him seen by a vet for this.
