My cat drank cleaning product. What should I do without a vet?

Hi, thanks for using Boop by Petco! If the floor looked dry I am sure she is fine. I do not think she needs to see a vet. If you want to rinse her mouth out well with water as a precaution and wipe her paws well with water to prevent any more possible ingestion that isn't wrong. If she becomes lethargic, drools, won't eat or in anyway appears abnormal then bring her to the Vet. But based on your description I think she will be fine. Maybe have a discussion with your roommate about this so it won't happen again. I hope this helps!

Rinse his mouth out with water right away, but do not induce vomiting. That can make the situation worse. Encourage plenty of water intake, soaking his food in tuna juice or gently warmed low sodium beef or chicken broth to get more fluids into him If you do see any abnormal symptoms such as vomiting, anorexia, lethargy, diarrhea, or irritation in his mouth, I would have him seen by a vet right away.

This should not lead to any severe intoxication or noticeable side effect. Possibly an episode or vomiting or diarrhoea may occur but they should be all self limiting and resolving. I would recommend to monitor her for the next 12hours but no further actions are needed at this stage.

Hi, thanks for using Boop by Petco! To be safe, bathe Sabbath in case bleach got on his fur. Since cats groom themselves we wouldn't want him to get bleach in his mouth. If he'll let you, try to rinse his mouth, but don't do it if he tries to bite. My hope is that he didn't lick any and none spilled on him. I'm so sorry that Simba is not going well. You didn't mention how long ago he might have ingested the soap. We will see mostly GI signs (vomiting and diarrhea) with most soap ingestions, but some soaps have ingredients that cause damage to the lining of the GI tract and can require much more intensive treatment. I would recommend contacting a poison control center with the exact ingredients in the soap and see if they can tell you how worried you need to be about the soap ingestion. https://www.aspca.org/pet-care/animal-poison-control Since Simba is a kitten, he needs to be taken to a vet right away if he isn't eating or drinking. Cleaning solutions are usually irritating to the stomach and intestines, but don't tend to cause much internal toxicity besides that. If she is eating, drinking and acting normally, then I would not be too concerned. She may have diarrhea for a day or two also, but this is OK. If she continues to vomit for more than 24 hours, has diarrhea for more than three days, or is not eating, drinking and acting normally, then I recommend taking her to the vet.
