Why is my cat sick at night after eating garden bugs and dog food?

Vomiting could be caused by parasites, change in diet, toxin ingestion, infectious viral diseases, blockage in the gastrointestinal tract caused by ingestion of a foreign body, or a mass/growth in the gastrointestinal tract. Vomiting and nausea are caused by many things and now it sounds like he may be really uncomfortable or having some abdominal pain. Causes include worms/parasites, pancreatitis, gall bladder/liver problems, dietary indiscretion (eating things he should not eat), dietary intolerance/sensitivity, hairballs, infection, inflammation, among many others. Again let your vet see him soon and they can evaluate him and then advise treatment/tests to perform. Possible tests include fecal exam, blood tests, xrays, and ultrasound exam. Definitely take Oreo into a vet as soon as possible. If he has worms in his feces, it means he is suffering from intestinal worms, which can cause the blood. I am very concerned about the color of his feces, the green can be a sign of a bacterial infection. Please take him into the vet.

If you feel he is not eating too fast, he may have a hairball and you can try laxatone or cat lax. This you can get at your local pet store. Otherwise, you can always try introducing wet food and see if that helps decrease the vomiting. If you are seeing runny stools or Jullie is having accidents in the house it is possible she could have some GI upset, internal parasites (such as worms) or an underlying illness.
