My dog got two Frontline flea treatments in 3 days. Will she be okay?

Hello there! I would recommend you give Sky a bath if you recently (within a few hours) applied the second dose. Continue to monitor her for any unusual behavior, vomiting, diarrhea, skin irritation, etc for the next 12-24 hrs. If you notice any changes Sky should be seen by a veterinarian as soon as possible. One drop from the dog's vial of Frontline shouldn't be a problem. The concentration is often the same, just the volume applied is more for a dog. Keep an eye on her just to be safe but she's probably fine. If she does show any signs of sickness, refusal to eat or drink, lethargy, drooling, vomiting, etc., get her in to your vet or an emergency clinic right away.

Cats are exquisitely sensitive to flea treatments, so there is a potential this could cause problems in Monty. I would wash him off thoroughly with warm water and Dawn dish soap. Watch him for signs of toxicity which include excessive salivation, paw flicking, ear twitching, vomiting, diarrhea, depression, incoordination, and muscle tremors. If you see any of those, rush Monty into a vet immediately.

Fortunately Frontline does not cause any symptoms of toxicity at 5 times the normal dose, so a double dose would not be a problem. I'm not entirely sure why there wouldn't be enough Frontline in a tube however unless it was open - perhaps you had some tubes that were for a smaller dog (the tube size is the same for different doses but there is less medication for smaller dogs). If the tube was open it may not be as effective and you may want to consider adding a different preventative. If you are not 100% sure you have the right dose size the safest thing to do would probably be to wash it off.

If you used the Frontline Plus on Nova, there should be no need to bathe her in a flea and tick shampoo. Cats are exquisitely sensitive to flea treatments, so keep a close eye on Love. Unfortunately you cannot use topical medications that close together. Your best bet here is to try washing off the product immediately with Dish dawn detergent, and then to reapply the newer medication in 2 weeks. In the meantiime you can give Boogie a Capstar just about as often as you need to to rid fleas immediately after seeing them. You can purchase a Capstar at any pet store that carries this brand. This is not a preventative but it is a flea ridder that works fast (witihin 1 hr!). I hope that you are able to give Boogie some relief following his intense flea infestation. You definitely want to give him a calming aloe based or oatmeal based bath right after the Dawn bath, and a soothing conditoner from your local pet store can also be helpful. Yes I would be concerned, as this can be a sign of flea treatment toxicity. I would put her into a bath immediately, and gently wash the treatment off with water water and Dawn dish soap. Continue to monitor her for signs of toxicity, including vomiting, diarrhea, muscle tremors, hyper salivation, and depression. If you see any of those signs, take her into your vet immediately. I would make sure that the flea treatment you put on Annie was for cats and not for dogs, as it's very important to have a cat dose for cats because they are so sensitive to the flea medication. I would wait a few days before reapplying a flea treatment, and I would use a different brand than what you just used. I recommend using Advantage or Revolution.

If he starts twitching or having tremors, then he needs to go to a vet. If he is not normal by morning then I would take him in to see if there is something else going on

The problem is usually the reverse, using dog flea treatment on cats. Cats are more sensitive to some ingredients than dogs. Your dog should be fine, especially if it is one of the products that is used on both species, just the dosage is different.
