My cat has soft stool for months. Deworming didn't help. What's next?

My cat has been having soft mushy stool for two months now I wormed him Saturday, January 11, 2020 and that did not fix the problem what can I do to make his stool firm again

I would recommend taking a stool sample in to be tested by your veterinarian to check for parasites as the dewormer you gave does not cover every parasite out there. Once the stool is tested, go from there for further testing. If you recently switched the diet, try transitioning to a different diet. In younger animals, diet or intestinal parasites are common causes of soft stool / diarrhea. I hope this helps!
