Why is my kitten drooling, not eating, and suddenly lethargic?

Updated On September 23rd, 2025

Hi. My kitten is drooling excessively and isn’t eating. He’s not as playful as usual, but doesn’t seem to be in pain. He seemed fine a few hours ago.

Sounds like he may have chewed on or tasted something irritating/toxic. The other option is he could have ulcerations in his mouth from a viral disease (ie: calicivirus). I suggest you have Oscar examined by your vet.
