Pet's info: Dog | Mixed Breed Large (61lb +) | Male | neutered | 120 lbs
I just noticed that my dog has some kind of lump/cyst on his eyelid. I think it’s a recent growth and so far I’ve just put a warm compress on it for a little bit but don’t want to mess with it otherwise. Any idea on what it could be and does he require a vet visit?

Hi, and thanks for your question. This lump/bump/growth should be ideally examined by your local vet to have a diagnosis established. Your vet may want to perform an FNA (fine needle aspiration) or a biopsy to sample the bump and determine its underlying nature. Differentials would include skin cysts, infections, benign or more malignant type of tumors.
