My dog has snout bumps but acts normal. When should I see a vet?

Updated On September 23rd, 2025

Pet's info: Dog | Mixed Breed Medium (23 - 60lb) | Female | spayed | 1 year and 11 months old | 32 lbs

Hi I'm unsure if I should take my dog in right away or just observe for changes. I came home and saw my dog had these patches or bumps on her snout right above her nose. She is acting normal and it appears to not be bugging her. But I'm a little worried as this just popped up today sometime. Just curious if this is just an irritation that would go away on its own or a reaction I should be taking her in right away for.

These look like an allergic reaction within the skin and as long as she is not agitated and there is no vomiting, panting or sneezing I would continue to monitor at home. Contact your nearest emergency vet if any changes develop
