My budgie is sick: not eating, puffed feathers, and very weak.

Question

Sir , I have a budgie of 2 years old. It very dull from the last 3 days and not eating its food as before!! Sitting idle with puffed feathers and moving the throat in such way that something obstructed its throat!!! But it is drinking water more frequently than before!! Became very inactive, dull and weak!!! Please help me sir. Pet's info: Bird | Parakeet | Male | 2 years and 11 months old | 0.005 lbs

Thanks for reaching out about Hammer and including a photo. This bird needs to see a veterinarian as soon as possible. Providing heat support in the 80-85 F can give some aid. Remove perches and place a soft towel on the bottom for comfort as perch requires energy to balance. Possibilities such as metabolic disorders, infections, ingested toxins, and other possibilities. Only a veterinarian can help with a diagnosis and treatment plan. Good luck.
