My dog is making a weird sound as If she has something stuck in her throat and she won’t let me open her mouth to see

Her mouth may be painful or there could be something in her throat. Offer her some food and water. If she is able to eat and drink, there likely isn't something in her throat and I would take her into a vet in the morning to get this checked out. If she won't eat or drink, get her into a vet immediately.

    I would keep an eye on her for now, as she could have a respiratory infection causing her symptoms. It's good that she ate well this morning, but the lethargy could be related to a potential respiratory infection. If she is still acting lethargic and making noises like she has something stuck in her throat on Monday, I would have seen by a vet for a health check.

If you are concerned about something stuck in Doggo's throat, I would have him examined by your veterinarian to appropriately identify the cause of the symptoms. If you are unable to get to your vet right away, I would maybe offer soft food on the off chance this is irritation in the throat from something Doggo swallowed. Soft food would be much easier than hard food to swallow. An examination will help identify any obvious object lodged in the mouth or throat. My 4 year old Chihuahua chews on anything she can get her paws on and now she doesnt yawn or eat at all ans she barely opens her mouth or barks
I would worry that something in her mouth is hurting her! There could be something lodged in her mouth or throat area, a tooth abscess or she could have pain in the muscles that contract with her jaw. I would recommend to take her into the veterinarian tomorrow for an exam. I hope Aqua starts feeling better quickly!

Her throat and trachea do look irritated. If your vet isn't willing to examine her mouth and throat, I would get a second opinion at another clinic. Since she has had no improvement since her last visit, I feel she should be seen again, either by your current vet or by another one who will check her throat.

Thank you for submitting your question regarding your dog. An upper respiratory tract infection is a common cause of the symptoms you are describing. I recommend that he sees a veterinarian today. You will not be able to check for something stuck in his throat at home. His veterinarian may take x-rays of his throat or refer you to specialist to have a camera down his throat. Why is diesel making weird sounds like she has phlegm in her throat?
Poor Diesel! This could be allergies, an upper respiratory infection, or something stuck in her throat. If she seems in distress or if her gums are not pink, then I would immediately take her to your vet or emergency clinic as this could be an emergency. Otherwise, as long as she is eating and drinking normally, you could try benadryl to see if this helps. See the link below for more information. If this doesn't help or if at any point her behavior changes, I would have your vet take a look at her. Your vet will be able to listen to her heart and lungs, check bloodwork and even do x-rays if needed. Your vet will be able to get her started on antibiotics if needed. I would be concerned that something is blocking Duke's airway making it difficult for him to breathe in. He could have sniffed in something toxic or abrasive that is now causing inflammation in the airways. I would recommend taking Duke in to be checked out by your vet first thing this morning. Your vet may recommend X-rays to assess the airways and/or sedation to be able to look thoroughly in to the mouth.

He could indeed have something stuck in his throat I strongly recommend getting him in to see your vet immediately. It sounds like he's trying to move whatever is stuck and not having much success. He needs to be seen before he hurts himself.

In small dogs, collapsing trachea is a possibility for the type of cough you are noticing. If it was noticed suddenly though, then I would be much less suspicious of it. Another possible cause is an upper respiratory infection. These can happen quite suddenly and will have a cough and gag at the end of the cough similar to what you're describing. These infections are often treated successfully with antibiotics. Having something lodged in the throat is a possibility too; even if you don't know of anything that she could have eaten to cause this. It's worth taking her to the vet for an exam. They can help determine the cause and treat the problem before it gets worse. Usually, we can find the cause rather quickly. I hope that helps and your pup gets better soon.
