Oh no, this isn't good. At this point in time, you cannot treat this at home, Pepper needs to see a vet now. Please take her into an ER vet clinic; if there isn't one in your area, there will be a vet on call for emergencies. I am sorry to hear about Pepper! A swollen face can be caused by a variety of issues, including an allergic reaction, a bite from an insect, or an abscessed tooth to name a few. These are all treated with different medications, so it is recommended to bring Pepper in to the vet to examine her to determine what is causing the swelling and how best to treat her. If the swelling is increasing in size or she is struggling to breath it is a medical emergency and she should be seen immediately.

Pepper has to see a vet immediately. The only way to know for certain if there is something that can be done for her is to have her seen by a vet. It's also not fair to leave her in this condition, she is likely very distressed. Please take Pepper into a vet immediately, this is a medical emergency.

My dog developed swelling a few hours ago round her muzzle. She has now started being sick and is dirtying in the house. Her eyes swollen too and she is quite restless.
These are signs of an acute allergic reaction and immediate check up would be required to confirm this clinical suspicion and treat appropriately. Steroids and antihistaminic drugs are very likely to be needed. Hi there, my Golden Retrievers snout and mouth area have completely puffed up and are so swollen. We have checked for ticks/bites and can’t seem to find any and at this stage she is acting/breathing normally. It is 1:30am here should I contact a 24 h
Swelling of the face and mouth/facial swelling are often initial symptoms of an anaphylactic/allergic reaction. These reactions can occur in dogs after vaccines, after exposure to a food or substance they are allergic to, or after a bite from an insect. As it is impossible to predict whether an anaphylactic reaction will remain localized or progress to trouble breathing, which can be life threatening, it is safest to contact a 24 hour vet for Bella at this time to have her seen. The ER may recommend a treatment plan including anti-histamines, corticosteroids +/- epinephrine and montitoring until the selling has gone down. They will also likely recommend an at home dose for Benadryl after establishing a valid patient/client relationship if this should occur again as it is uncertain at this point what Bella is allergic to. Wishing Bella a quick recovery!

My dog is breaking out in hives. He hasn't been outside much today except potty breaks and a short run. No human food either. He's very whiney, he also has thrown up a few times.
That's not good. I wonder if Spot is suffering from a contact allergy causing his hives. Vomiting can also be a sign of an allergic reaction. My cat has vomited at least twice, has a swollen face and ragged breathing
It is extremely concerning that Peanut has a swollen face and ragged breathing, and I would be very concerned she could be experiencing an allergic reaction. It could also be that Peanut was attacked by another cat if she's allowed outdoors, and that could be causing the swollen face, breathing difficulties, and vomiting. When a cat is having problems breathing, it is a medical emergency and she has to be seen by a vet now. She came down with hives all over her body, gave her Benadryl it didn't help. She is slow moving, her eyes are somewhat swollen and her nose is luke warm, she is not having any breathing issues, but she acts like she doesn't feel good, please help.
I'm sorry Peppermint Pattie isn't doing well! Because the Benadryl isn't helping, she needs to see a vet immediately. In some cases allergic reactions need stronger medications such as steroids, and that is likely in this case since the Benadryl didn't help. They can continue to progress to breathing difficulties. so it's best to stop it for now. I would take her into an vet right away to get her treated for her reaction. Woke up this morning and Poppy's eyes were swollen and is covered in welts, other than shaking her head constantly and scratching she doesn't seem to be feeling ill in other areas, however through out the day more and more welts have appeared
Oh this sounds like Poppy has an allergic reaction to something. Since the welts are increasing and she is not getting better you should take her to a veterinarian or Pet ER today for an exam, possible antihistamine and steroid injection to counteract the allergic reaction.
