Why is my senior dog acting off, sad, and not wanting to play?

My 11 year old lab is acting very off today, not his normal self. He was limping around 8am and has stopped limping, is bearing weight on the leg, I looked and saw nothing new. Eating and drinking normally he just wants to lay around, will not get on the couch or bed, doesnt want to play and seems sad. Pet's info: Dog | Mixed Breed Large (61lb +) | Male | unneutered | 10 years and 10 months old | 85 lbs

Limping means that Chief is in pain, and that may be why he's not his normal self. I recommend resting him for the next 48 hours. No running, jumping, or playing. Take him out to toilet on a leash, and bring him right back in when he's done. If he still appears painful after this time, then I would take him into the vet for an exam. The vet can diagnose where the pain is coming from, and can dictate a treatment plan for it. He may also benefit from some pain medications, which the vet can prescribe. Please do not give him any human pain medications, as many are toxic to dogs and can be fatal if given.
