Pet's info: Dog | Mixed Breed Large (61lb +) | Male | neutered | 1 year and 9 months old | 115 lbs
He recently went to the vet for shots and got checked out. They looked at his ears cause I for sure thought he had a ear infection. But my vet checked him and said he had clean perfect ears. All was well and no head shaking up until a couple weeks ago... and now tonight out of his sleep he violently couldn’t stop shaking his head. I touched one ear and he didn’t react but the other ear he would grunt and groan but not in pain. It’s not red and it’s cleaned out. Now he’s panting and can’t sleep!

These signs could be compatible with an ear inflammation/infection. Presence of a foreign body inside the ear canal is possible and cannot be ruled out considering your description. Another check up and otoscopic examination is required to confirm this clinical suspicion and treat appropriately.
