Updated On September 23rd, 2025

Pet's info: Dog | Mixed Breed | Female | unspayed | 1 year and 6 months old | 10 lbs

I took my dog outside for a night walk, she did a number and a number two. The problem is that when we got back, i noticed there was blood from her bum, when we were outside, she struggled to poop. What should i do ? I am quite worried about her! Thanks

Blood coming from the rectum could be coming from the intestine or the anal glands. I recommend to have Zuzia examined by the veterinarian to determine the source of blood. Depending on the cause, different treatments are given. Also check that it's not coming from her vulva (she could be in heat). I hope this helps and please feel free to post any additional questions,
