I am in the process of looking for an ophthalmologist but I was wondering if you could tell me what it could possibly be. We noticed this about 24hrs ago. Not sure where it could have came from. She's not trying to scratch at it with her paws. No other symptoms (she's acting normal). No abnormal discharge, besides the usual that she has..these were the best pictures I could get as quickly as possible without hurting her with the flash..

It looks like she got an injury to the cornea which probably happened a few days ago and the red spot is the cornea trying to heal itself. I don't think you need to take her to a veterinary ophthalmologist for this unless you want to. Your regular vet should be able to handle this problem.
